Start with the actual notice
A refusal, RFE or court notice each need a different response. Send the complete document and date received.
Consular refusals
214(b) differs from 221(g); a new application is not automatically right.
RFEs and NOIDs
Respond to the actual grounds by the deadline.
Waivers
I-601, I-601A and I-212 serve different purposes; not every ground is waivable.
Proceedings
Court defense, bond, motions and appeals need separate review.
What to bring
Complete notice, delivery information and receipt date. Payment does not mean we accepted an urgent deadline.
Proposed legal fee
Refusal review $1,500–$3,000; RFE $2,500–$6,000; waiver $5,000–$9,000; removal defense from about $10,000–$20,000. Government charges and screening are separate.
Can I simply reapply after a refusal?
Not automatically. The notice, grounds and deadline need review first.
